Heart-Healthy Recipe: Low-Sodium Turkey Stuffing

 


INGREDIENTS

  • 6 cups cubed bread (no salt – toasted) (about 8 slices)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 2 cups chopped mushroom
  • 2 cups chopped apple
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans 
  • 1 tablespoon savory
  • 1/2 tablespoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper 
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 cup apple juice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Saute the cubed bread, butter, onion, celery, mushroom, apple and pecans.
